Neurobiology of Anxiety and Mood Disorders

Anxiety disorders are group of mental disorders characterized by significant feelings of fear and anxiety which can be the result of a number of factors, including, psychological, genetics and personal experiences. Mood disorder is a serious change in moodof a person. Depression is a common feature of mood disorders. Anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder may coexist and make a person’s life difficult.

This special issue will discuss the symptoms, causes, risk factors and treatments,relationship between anxiety disorder and mood disorder at both genotypic and phenotypic levels and the recent advances in anxiety and mood disorders.
