Publisher Responsibilities

  • Safeguard the integrity of the academic record across all Boffin Access journals.
  • Guarantee editorial independence and support editors in making unbiased decisions.
  • Ensure transparency in peer review and editorial processes.
  • Follow best practices for corrections, retractions, and clarifications when necessary.
  • Reject all forms of bias—geographic, racial, gender-based, or otherwise—and ensure decisions are based solely on scientific merit.
  • Promote ethical research dissemination and global accessibility through Open Access principles.

Author Responsibilities

  • Submit only original, unpublished work that is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Avoid plagiarism, data manipulation, and fabrication in all forms.
  • Clearly identify all authorship contributions, affiliations, and corresponding author details.
  • Disclose all funding sources, conflicts of interest, and potential commercial/financial benefits.
  • Provide proper attribution and citation for all borrowed material.
  • Ensure ethical compliance for human/animal studies, including approval from an institutional ethics committee.
  • Provide patient consent for case reports or identifiable data, when applicable.
  • Submit complete manuscripts with all supporting materials, datasets, and supplementary files.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Declare conflicts of interest and recuse themselves where impartiality is compromised.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of manuscripts under review.
  • Provide fair, constructive, and timely feedback to improve the quality of the work.
  • Adhere to a professional code of conduct and support the integrity of the peer review process.

Editor Responsibilities

  • Develop and uphold ethical editorial policies, ensuring alignment with international publishing standards.
  • Make fair, transparent, and timely editorial decisions based only on scholarly merit.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and act with integrity at all times.
  • Appoint reviewers and editorial board members based on expertise and academic contributions.
  • Ensure confidentiality of manuscripts and communicate only with authorized parties.
