Sports Science is the study and application of the principles of physiology, anatomy, and psychology as they relate to human movement and physical activity. Sports Medicine is one of the most important branch of medicine that combines general medical education with a wide variety of disciplines like sports science, exercise physiology, orthopedics, biomechanics, nutrition and psychology.
Sports Medicine and Physical Activity has taken an initiative to bring into light all the latest research in the field of sports Medicine. The journal acts as a bridge between science and practice of physical fitness. The journal publishes clinically-relevant aspects of sports and exercise medicine related to physiotherapy and physical therapy. The journal focuses on injuries occurred during sports and methods to prevent such injuries. There are various methods that help to treat such injuries and drugs used in sports and recommendations for training and nutrition. Some of the injuries can be treated by physiotherapy while others need to have medication. Sports Medicine and Physical Activity accept Original research papers, Reviews, Perspectives, Rapid Communication, Short Communications, Mini reviews and Commentaries.
