Boffin Access – Instructions for Authors

At Boffin Access, we uphold the highest international publishing standards. All manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review, and authors are expected to follow these guidelines carefully. Adherence ensures transparency, reproducibility, and global visibility of your work.

Cover Letter & Submission

Include a signed cover letter on official letterhead, emphasizing originality, significance, and compliance with ethical standards. Manuscripts should be submitted via the respective journal’s editorial system. Initial screening (scope, quality, plagiarism) is completed within 2–3 business days.

Ethics & Conflicts of Interest

Boffin Access follows COPE and ICMJE guidelines. Authors must declare all conflicts of interest (financial, institutional, personal) and confirm ethical approval for human/animal studies where relevant.

Manuscript Components

• Title Page: Title, subtitle, author list, affiliations, correspondence details, and optional details (word count, tables/figures).
• Abstract: Concise, structured, covering background, methods, results, and conclusion (250 words max).
• Keywords: 4–6 terms (MeSH terms for medical papers).
• Article Highlights: Up to 5 bullet points summarizing novelty and impact.
• Graphical Abstract: Optional visual summary, JPEG/TIFF, with 50–70 word caption.
• Figures & Tables: High-resolution (JPEG/TIFF), with legends; third-party content requires copyright permission.
• Supplementary Material: Extended datasets, figures, appendices—submitted as separate files.

Authorship & Contributions

Clearly state individual contributions (conceptualization, methodology, data collection, writing, supervision, etc.). Boffin Access does not mediate authorship disputes. The corresponding author handles all communications with the editorial office.

Formatting & References

References must be complete, accurate, and formatted consistently. Examples:

• Up to five authors: Smith J, Kumar R, Li Y, Lopez M, Chen P. Article title. J Biomed Res. 2024; 18(3):145–152.
• More than five authors: Smith J, Kumar R, Li Y, Lopez M, Chen P, et al. Article title. Nature. 2024; 600(1):12–20.

Licensing & Copyright

All Boffin Access content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use with proper citation. Authors must secure copyright permissions for third-party materials.

Corrections & Retractions

• Erratum: Publisher-corrected production errors.
• Corrigendum: Author-initiated corrections (units, names, affiliations).
• Retraction: Applied in cases of misconduct, plagiarism, or major errors, following COPE policies.
