Boffin Access – Peer Review Policy

At Boffin Access, peer review is at the core of our publishing model. While our approach to open access is progressive, our peer review practices strictly follow internationally recognized standards to ensure the highest level of academic integrity and fairness. We employ a double-blind review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous, ensuring impartiality and reducing bias in editorial decisions.

Why Double-Blind Peer Review?

After evaluating multiple review models, Boffin Access has adopted the double-blind method as the most effective system for safeguarding the integrity of the review process. Concealing identities:

• Prevents bias based on an author’s reputation, affiliation, or background.
• Protects reviewers from undue influence or pressure from authors.
• Reduces the risk of conflicts of interest by focusing strictly on the scientific merit of the work.
• Ensures all manuscripts are judged fairly, based solely on the quality and originality of their content.

Editorial & Reviewer Roles

The Editor-in-Chief assigns qualified reviewers with subject expertise relevant to each manuscript. Boffin Access’s editorial staff monitor the process closely to ensure compliance with ethical standards and to prevent misconduct. Reviewer feedback is shared with authors to guide necessary revisions, strengthen the manuscript, and improve clarity before final decision-making.

Reviewer Code of Conduct

To preserve the credibility and trustworthiness of Boffin Access journals, reviewers are expected to:

• Remain fair, impartial, and unbiased in judgment.
