Blood an essential component of the human body, is a living tissue made up of liquid and solids. The liquid part is called plasma and the solid part of blood contains red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. When blood levels get affected, it leads to many health problems. Some of the common blood disorders include anemia, bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, blood clots, and blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Blood disorders may be acute or chronic. The study of blood in health and disease is generally referred to as hematology. ‘Journal of Blood Disorders and Malignancies’ is established to publish the different types of blood conditions and blood cancers that affect the population.
