Saiyi Zhong

Biography:

Dr. Saiyi Zhong is currently Associate Professor of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering and Deputy Dean of College of Food Science and Technology in Guangdong Ocean University (GOU), China.

Dr. Saiyi Zhong obtained his Ph.D. in food and nutrition science from Joint Training Programme between China Agricultural University in China and the Ohio State University in the USA. His research expertise lies in food-derived mutagens and carcinogens, and the bioactive chemopreventive food components. Dr. Saiyi Zhong has published and lectured widely and internationally. His academic publications total over 50 peer-refereed journal articles, book chapters, and books. He was awarded the 2013 Distinguished Faculty Award at GOU based on his outstanding research and teaching work.

Research Interests:

His Research interest focuses on Food-derived Mutagens and Carcinogens, Anticancer Food Factors, Bioactive Chemopreventive Food Components.
