Dr. Meijun Zhu is an associate professor in the School of Food Science, Washington State University. She obtained her Sc.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at China Agricultural University, and got her Ph.D. in Food Microbiology at Iowa State University. She has published some research papers in peer reviewed journals. She is a member of various societies, including the International of Food Technologists, International association of Food Protection, The American Society for Microbiology etc.
Her research interest focuses on Microbiological food safety; biological effects of dietary factors on gut epithelial health, microbiota, obesity and the incidence of gut epithelial related diseases.
