Filomena Morisco

Biography:

Filomena Morisco is a Professor in Gastroenterology at University of Naples “Federico II" and resident at U.O.C. Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Hospital Clinical Hospital Federico II. She is, nowadays, also a member of the Italian Association for the Study of Liver (AISF) and of Italian Society of Gastroenterology (SIGE). Filomena has led numerous clinical trials according to GCP over the years, with more than 100 publications to her credit. Her previous experience also includes a stint in England at Royal Free Hospital of London, at the Department of Surgery, Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Medicine. Filomena Morisco is particularly keen on research in epidemiologic aspects, natural history, clinical complications and therapeutic strategies of hepatic viral and non-viral chronic diseases, risk factors and clinical, therapeutic and scientific aspects of hepatocellular carcinoma and in preventive and therapeutic roles and properties of food components, to improve and sustain liver health and normal function.
