Salwa E. Khier


Dr. Salwa E. Khier is Professor of Dental Biomaterials & Removable Prosthodontics, Clinical Dental Sciences Department, College of Dentistry, Princess Norah Bint Abdulrahman University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She received a BDS, and MSD from University of Alexandria Faculty of Dentistry, in Egypt. She also received an MSc, and PhD in Dental Materials from Marquette University Graduate School in USA. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials in USA. She wrote 80 scientific articles in the field of Dental Biomaterials.

Research Interests:

Composite resin biodegradation, bacterial role and host-biomaterial interactions, Properties and clinical performance of tissue conditioners and soft liners, Mechanical behavior of direct retainers attached to removable partial dentures, All-ceramic restoration, post-core materials, Physical and surface characterization of denture polymers, Developing diverse metallic options for orthodontic alloys.
