Lawrence A. Lavery

Biography:

Lawrence Lavery is a Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery, as well as Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Plastic Surgery, at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX. His research group has published many peer reviewed papers and has received extramural funding from the Veterans Administration, the National Institute of Health, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the American Diabetes Association, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He holds patents on HealthScan: “Apparatus and Method for Monitoring Temperatures on the Plantar Aspects of a Human Foot and other Vital Health Information”. He has received many national and international awards. He has membership in various societies such as American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, etc.

Research Interests:

His research interest’s focuses on Plastic surgery, Diabetes, Ulcers, Infections, Neuropathy, and Osteomyelitis.
