Tamer A Gheita

Biography:

Professor Gheita has a robust academic background and extensive experience in the field of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology. He completed his medical education at the Department of Medicine, Cairo University, graduating with honors in December 1993. He subsequently earned an M.Sc. degree in 1997 and his MD degree in 2003, both with excellent grades.

Since 2013, Professor Gheita has held the position of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Professor. He serves as a Rheumatology consultant at various hospitals globally, many of which hold Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. His research contributions are significant, with numerous publications in top-ranked international journals and co-editorial roles in scientific books focused on Rheumatology.

In addition to his academic achievements, Professor Gheita has supervised and discussed over 25 MD and MSc theses, earning recognition for his mentorship and guidance from colleagues. He is a sought-after speaker at regional and international conferences, having participated actively in over 100 such events. His dedication to advancing Rheumatology practice is underscored by certificates of excellence received for his contributions to medical convoys and lectures for junior Ministry of Health physicians across Egypt.

Professor Gheita is affiliated with several specialized societies in Rheumatology, Immunology, Osteoporosis, and Orthopedics. He has served on the scientific and organizing committees of numerous regional conferences and completed the Faculty and Leadership Development Center Program (FLDP) at Cairo University, accredited by the International Board of Certified Trainers (IBCT) in the Netherlands.

Furthermore, he holds the Platinum BMJ Learning High-Usage certificate for completing rheumatology modules and possesses strong computer skills certified by ICDL (UNESCO, USA, 2009). He is a Certified EULAR Rheumatologist in Zurich, Switzerland, and a member of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) in Nyon, Switzerland.

Professor Gheita's achievements and contributions highlight his commitment to advancing medical education, research, and clinical practice in Rheumatology and related fields.
