Benedetta Ghezzi

Biography:

Dr. Benedetta Ghezzi is a Researcher Type A at the Centre of Dental Medicine, University of Parma, Italy, where she focuses on biomaterials optimization for oral tissue regeneration. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine and has extensive experience in various research positions, including Honorary Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London. Dr. Ghezzi's education includes a National enabling for the Biologist Profession and a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnologies from the University of Parma. She has also completed education activities and courses related to animal research and good clinical practice.

Research Interests:

The researcher focuses on developing biomaterials for oral tissue regeneration, with a particular focus on improving osseointegration of dental implants through the use of nanostructures. They also conducted a cytocompatibility study of silicon oxycarbide nanowires and cerium fluoride nanocomposite nanoparticles, evaluated FoxP3 expression in canine mammary gland tumors, and attended various training courses and workshops on animal research, regenerative medicine, and research methodology.
