Amita Pandey

Biography:

Amita Pandey is a Scientist ‘A’ at the Shriram Institute for Industrial Research in New Delhi, India. She holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University, where she conducted research on the modulation of calmodulin gene expression in transgenic tobacco. She has extensive research experience in the areas of cell migration, axon outgrowth, and signaling pathways, and has published 25 research articles in highly reputed journals including Development, Cell Adhesion and Migration, and Eukaryotic Cell. Dr. Pandey has also worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of California Berkeley and as a Research Specialist at the University of California Berkeley, where she conducted research on axon guidance and cell migration. 

Research Interests:

She has expertise in a wide range of Cloning, Southern blot, Northern blot, Western blot, cDNA library preparation, yeast 2 hybrid, PCR, Reverse Transcription (RT)- qPCR, Real-time qPCR, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Fluorescent microcopy, Nomarski/DIC  microscopy, SEM, Histology, MTT assay, ELISA, HPRT assay, Plaque assay, Sanger Sequencing, LAMP, TMA, and has experience teaching biotechnology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
