Ali Movahedi

Biography:

Ali Movahedi is an assistant professor at Nanjing Forestry University of China. He received his BA from Tehran University, Iran, and MA in Wood Science and technology from Gorgan University, Iran. He received his Ph.D. with an excellent certificate in Molecular Biology and biochemistry at Nanjing Forestry University in 2014. He passed postdoc degree also with an excellent certificate with carrying out researches on epigenetic and also teaching at Nanjing Forestry University. Most of his works have been included in gene manipulation, genomics and proteomics, especially in plants. He has carried out researches in the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran. He also worked on plant molecular biology, environmental stresses and epigenetic, especially DNA Methylation and Chromatin Remodelling. He is working on CRISPR-Cas9 to make genome editing in plants.

Research Interests:

RNAi and sRNAs associated with proteins, epigenetic and DNA manipulation.
