Irami was graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2000), Master in Health Sciences (2005) and Doctorate in Health Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2007) and Post Doctorate in Health Sciences from the UFRN (2013), and PhD from the University of Sorbone / Paris Diderot. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor II of the Discipline of Operative Technique of the Department of Surgery of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, a Full Member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons, Master of the Chapter of the Brazilian College of Surgeons in Rio Grande do Norte, Full Member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery, Member of the Pan American Trauma Society, Full Member of the Brazilian Society for the Development of Surgical Research, Deputy Coordinator of the Research Base on Experimental Surgery, Clóvis Sarinho, Teaching, Research Manager, Onofre Lopes University Hospital (HUOL), Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, under the management of the Brazilian Hospital Services Company - EBSERH. he is also Preceptor of the HUOL General Surgery Medical Residency and Vice-President of the Regional of the RN of the Brazilian Society for the Development of Surgical Research. He is an Effective Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology at Potiguar University; an Effective Professor of the Graduate Program in Management and Technological Innovation in Health UFRN / EBSERH. He has an experience in Medicine, focusing on General Surgery, Gastroenterology and Oncology, acting on the following subjects: infection in surgery, intercurrent factors in wound healing, radionuclide biodistribution, experimental models of osteoporosis.
