Ayodele Akinterinwa

Biography:

Ayodele Akinterinwa is a lecturer at Modibbo Adama University in Nigeria with a PhD in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Technology in Akure. He has conducted research on the synthesis of cross-linked carboxymethyl starch from Kwakil beans for the removal of heavy metals from aqueous solutions, and has experience working with various materials and techniques for the detection and remediation of wastewater and recovery of pollutants. He has also supervised numerous research projects on developing functional materials from low-cost or waste materials. Additionally, he has served as a reviewer for various academic journals and publishers.

Research Interests:

His research interests include the development of functional materials from low-cost or waste materials, such as adsorbents from biomass, medicated shampoo from local coal tar, and surfactants from biomass. He has conducted graduate research on the synthesis of functionally tailored materials and the design of experimental techniques for the detection and remediation of wastewater and recovery of pollutants. He is proficient in data analysis using various tools.
