Anand Kumar

Biography:

Dr. Anand Kumar is a well-established surgeon and a professor working at Banaras Hindu University. He has an experience of over 36 years in the field of surgery. He also serves as a visiting professor at Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal. He served as a Medical Superintendent at Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Banaras Hindu University previously. He has published over 119 papers in reputable journals. He is associated with many international and national societies. He worked as a chairman and administrator at Banaras Hindu University. He formulated Modular teaching course contents, Syllabus for undergraduate M.B.B.S. course, Interns workbook. He is endowed with Dr. K.N. Udupa Lecture Award of Association of Surgeons of India. He also received many honors and awards for his contribution in surgery. He is an active member of many organizations. He is a Consortium Member of innovations in medical education sponsored by WHO, SEARO.

Research Interests:

His research interest mainly focuses on Breast cancer, surgical oncology, colon-rectal surgery and general surgery etc.
