Claudia Florida Costea was born in 1977. In 2003, she was awarded the degree of Medical Doctor of General Medicine by “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania. In 2005, she became resident Medical Doctor in Ophthalmology at “Prof.Dr.Nicolae Oblu” Clinical Emergency Hospital of Iași, Romania. In 2005, she became Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania.
Since 2010 she has been specialist ophthalmologist at “Prof.Dr.Nicolae Oblu” Clinical Emergency Hospital of Iași, Romania.
She was also awarded the degree of PhD of Medicine by “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, Romania. Here are her areas of research expertise: eye tumors, ocular-orbital injuries, neuro-ophthalmology, and anterior eye segment surgery. She has published 63 scientific papers.
