Baher Effat is a Research Professor of Food and Dairy Microbiology, National Research Centre, Egypt. Over 36 years of experience in Food and Dairy Bacteriology, he shared and supervised over than 3 Master and Ph.D. Thesis in Food and Dairy sciences and more than 59 scientific publications in food and dairy microbiology, functional dairy products, probiotics and propionic acid bacteria and pathogenic bacteria and in Food and Dairy Products. He has shared in national and international programs and projects. He joined many international conferences and workshop, in addition to scientific activities. In addition, he awarded for CAS-TWAS Visiting Scholar Fellowship From 03 Aug. 2006 to 31 October 2006. Dr. Rafat Siddiqui is currently working as Associate Professor and Director of the Nutrition Science Food Chemistry Laboratory at Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia, United States. He obtained his PhD from the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. Dr. Siddiqui served as a postdoctoral fellow at Massey University in Palmerton North, New Zealand. He immigrated to America in 1989 and worked as a Howard Hughes Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Dr. Siddiqui began his work as a researcher at Methodist Hospital in 1993 and served as Director of Cellular Biochemistry and Lipid Biology programs from 2002 – 2015. He is an internationally recognized expert in many areas including cancer, cardiovascular disease, inflammation and the neurosciences. He has published over 100 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and has been invited as a keynote speaker at several national and international conferences. Dr. Siddiqui’s research has been featured on BBC, FOXTV, and WTHR broadcasts, as well as in the Sun, Telegraph, and Indianapolis Star newspapers and several other media outlets. He is on the editorial board of numerous journals. His recent work focuses on the health benefits of grape pomace, green papaya, pomegranate, Plums, Ginger, and Turmeric extracts.
Dr. Siddiqui's research interests are in the area of cancer, inflammation, and cardiovascular diseases. His research emphasis is on the synergistic modulation of chronic diseases by combination of nutrients and drugs.

Alfio Ferlito is Professor and Chairman of the ENT Clinic at the University of Udine School of Medicine from 1997. He was Director of the Department of Surgical Sciences at the same University from 2003 to 2009.
He graduated in medicine at the University of Bologna in 1968. He completed his residence programme in otolaryngology and subsequently in pathology. He worked at the ENT Department of Padua University from 1970 to 1997.
Professor Ferlito has collaborated in writing articles, editorials, commentaries, letters to the editor, special issues, book chapters and books with 516 international experts. He has edited a three-volume book entitled Cancer of the Larynx (CRC Press, Boca Raton, 1985) and three other books entitled Neoplasms of the Larynx (Churchill Livingstone, Edinburgh, 1993), Surgical Pathology of Laryngeal Neoplasms (Chapman and Hall, London, 1996) and Diseases of the Larynx (Arnold, London, 2000)
His chief interests is the promotion of international cooperation in head and neck surgery, oncology and cancer research.
Dr. Bettaieb received his master and Ph.D. in biochemistry and biology at the University of Quebec at Montreal. He then completed his postdoctoral training in Obesity and Diabetes research at University of California-Davis. In 2015, Dr. Bettaieb Joined the Department of Nutrition at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Bettaieb is a well-rounded basic scientist who is particularly well-poised to make significant contributions to the development of novel therapeutics for treating obesity and type 2 diabetes. This is reflected in his strong training record in research and his impressive record of publications and awards. To date, Dr. Bettaieb has 53 publications in the top biomedical journals (i.e., Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, J Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, PLoS One, Biochemical Biophysica Acta, Journal of Biological Chemistry, etc).
Dr. Bettaieb’s research focuses on the molecular and genetic mechanisms contributing to the development of metabolic diseases including obesity, diabetes, chronic inflammation and cardiovascular diseases. The main goal of this research is to exploit novel therapeutic strategies aiming at reducing the overall burden of these diseases.
Guillermo Felipe López Sánchez is Professor in the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University of Murcia (Spain) and member of the research group KINGSPORT. He works in the next research lines: 1) Physical Education and Health 2) Sports Management. He is the author of an important number of research papers, books, and chapters of books. Prior to this, she was a PhD student in the Department of cellular and molecular nutrition, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. She completed her Ph.D. in 2012. She published some paper about effect of vitamin A on gene expression and study on nutritional genomics and diet therapy in bariatric patients is her intests. Dr. Ike Okosun is currently an Associate Professor for the School of Public Health at Georgia State University (GSU). He received his doctorate from The University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health and has over 25 years of experience in public health. Dr. Okosun is a chronic disease epidemiologist who is an internationally recognized expert in the epidemiology of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Dr. Okosun’s research in diabetes, hypertension, obesity and insulin resistance syndrome has provided an understanding of the epidemiology of these diseases. His work on the role of abdominal obesity in explaining racial/ethnic variations for cardiovascular diseases has furthered understanding of lipid biology. Dr. Okosun is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health, The North American Association for the Study of Obesity and the Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene. He is a member of the American Academy of Health Behavior and serves on the nutrition consultation team for the CDC Community Guide to Preventive Services. He is also a member of many scientific organizations, including, American Public Health Association, Society for Epidemiologic Research, North American Association for the study of Obesity, International Society for the Study of Hypertension in Blacks and the American College of Epidemiology.

PABLO I. ALTIERI was born in Añasco one of the first founded towns in Puerto Rico. He studied his primary grades in Añasco and Mayagüez at the Inmaculada Concepcion Academy until his college studies at the RUM-University of Puerto Rico where he received a major in Biology and Humanities with a minor in Chemistry. He did his Medical School at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico and his Internal Medicine at the same campus. His Cardiology was done at the University of Puerto Rico and Ohio State University Under the chairs of Dr. Richard P. Lewis and Dr. Richard F. Leighton. He directed the Cardiology Section of Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C. There he related the section with the Johns Hopkins University Hospital System (Baltimore) Walter Reed Hospital (Washington D.C.) and NIH (Bethesda, Maryland). He came back to the University Hospital (U.P.R.) to direct the catheterization laboratories at the University Hospital and at the Cardiovascular Center of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. In the following years, he has been Professor of Medicine, Cardiology, and Physiology at the University of Puerto Rico. He belongs to the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, European Society of Atherosclerosis, European Lipid Society, American Electrophysiology Society, Muscle Society, Association Medical de Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Society of Physiology. He has given more than 350, local and international, lectures and has published more than 380 scientific papers.

Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania. In bariatric surgery he specializes in the Center of Excellence in Bariatric Delta Hospital in Bucharest, but also in Milan, Italy. He studied pancreas surgery in Stockholm, Sweden and transanal endoscopic surgery at St. Petersburg. Gallen in Switzerland. Dr. Timofte has published more than 50 original and review papers in peer-reviewed journals, 10 books and 2 book chapters. He is editor/reviewer for several other prestigious journals. Dan Timofte is organizer and chairman of NOBEZ 2016 and 2017 – National Conference with international participation and organizer of 12 Symposia and Workshops of Laparoscopic Surgery.
